A fanlisting

This site is listed in the The Fanlisting Network, a place that lists all the fans of many certain subjects. A fanlisting is a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor, actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject. In other words, basically just a list of names of people who like a certain subject. This particular fanlisting is for the video game Soul Calibur.

Why Soul Calibur?

Soul Calibur is my absolutely biggest fandom - there is no other game series I love more. So I was quite shocked to discover that the first of the Soul Calibur games had no listing! Naturally, I applied for it and was lucky enough to get it. I actually only started to play it a couple of months before this listing was opened, after playing 2 and 3 over and over again, and I was not disappointed. It was worth buying a Dreamcast for!

What's In The Name?

For the first name, Soul Beats... The focal characters in Soul Calibur are Kilik, Maxi and Xianghua, so I looked through their quotes for something suitable. In end, I took 'Soul Beats' from a Kilik quote, 'Listen... to the beat of my soul!' I was, at first, just going to go for 'Burning Souls,' but decided it was far too obvious a name.

For the current name I just combined 'azure knight' with 'soul' to create 'azure soul.' Pretty simple, right?
