Reason for the hair in the 2P costume?
Now, I found this on a Japanese website (through surfing Japanese sites using BabelFish). The author was explaining that they thought that Maxi might possibly have western blood and that the 2P blonde hair was actually his natural colour. In order to try and cover this up, he possibly dyes it. I thought this was an interesting theory, so I bring it to you here. If it were true it would give him another similarity to Setsuka! ^^ The author also links this to the reasons for why Maxi took up piracy...

Reasons for becoming a pirate?
So, what did the author of that think? Well, they think Maxi took up piracy because his parents were killed (it says they are dead in his bio). Why were his parents killed? Because one (or maybe both, I couldn't tell) were of Western, not Japanese/Ryukyu stock, and this caused their deaths through a racially-motivated attack. Thus, Maxi became a pirate and sought to get his revenge. If this theory were to be true, I'd assume he got it but was quite settled into the pirate life by then. Certainly something to think about, eh?
